The Serata Musicale is a live music event featuring performances by Wake Forest students (as well as faculty/alumni) of musical pieces with connections to Italian language, history, and culture.

Currently, we are actively seeking to recruit musicians for this year’s event. If you are interested in volunteering to perform or assist with the event — or if you would like to suggest performers who may be interested, please contact Professor John Welsh (welshja@wfu.edu).

Past performances have included traditional folk songs, instrumental piano pieces, jazz duets, arias from lyric opera, choral performance, and 20th century pop music — but we are open to any kind of music or dance performance with ties to Italy!

The event is scheduled for:

Thursday, April 6th at 7 p.m. in
Brendle Recital Hall of the Scales Fine Arts Center
